The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, Davis offers one of the most comprehensive and well-balanced medical programs in the United States. Our subspecialists, representing the major clinical disciplines, are experienced at managing the wide range of problems that can affect the head and neck regions. We treat all aspects of disease in both adults and children, including infections, trauma, birth defects, tumors (benign and malignant), degenerative diseases, as well as the problems that plague hearing, balance, taste and smell.

Additionally, our care teams specialize in functional disorders of voice and swallowing, salivary gland disorders, reflux, sleep apnea and pathological snoring, dysfunction of the facial nerve (which controls facial movement) and facial pain, growth disturbances in the facial skeleton, and cosmetic problems of the head and neck.
