Clinical focus: Dr. Greg Farwell's practice centers on the comprehensive management of patients with complex head and neck diseases. I treat patients with head and neck tumors and then reconstruct those patients to maximize both the aesthetic and functional results. I also perform reconstructive surgery for patients with trauma or other defects of the face, head and neck.

Research focus: I am looking at the genetic fingerprint of cancers, trying to understand which genes cause cancers, which genes are responsible for tumors spreading, and which genes predict good treatment response. Our goal is to one day have the information to treat each cancer individually to maximize our chance of cure and to minimize the side effects of treatment
