Philosophy of Care

Since Dr. Watkins was 9 years old, she's wanted to deliver babies. Obstetrics and gynecology allows her to focus on the health care of women and also facilitate the arrival of a new life. The most valuable service she can bring to her patients is education about medical problems or general health. She views each office visit as an opportunity to make a difference in her patients' lives. Every interaction is meaningful, helping patients understand the rationale behind her recommendations for health management strategies. She works with her patients as partners in an effort to achieve their optimal health. Her affiliation with UC Davis has been a long-term partnership (dating to 1994). She has the utmost confidence in the specialists and consultants available to help her give patients the best care possible.
