Third Year Fellow

Dr. Sima Parmar started her education at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology. She went on to study medicine at the same university. She then moved to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL for her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency. During her 3rd year Residency Elective, she spent a month in Mumbai, India working at various institutions throughout the city. She began the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program in July 2011. Her interests include the placenta accrete, percreta and increta, as well as diversity in medicine and public health issues.

Yen Truong, M.D.

Second Year Fellow

Dr. Yen Truong received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley with Bachelor's Degrees in Political Science and Integrative Biology. She attended Tufts University's School of Medicine in Boston, MA, completing both her Doctorate of Medicine and Master of Public Health. She completed her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose, CA. Dr. Truong began her fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine in July 2012. Dr. Truong has specific interests in underserved populations, health policy, health outcomes, and public health research.
