What is a Urogynecologist?
A urogynecologist is a physician who has completed medical school and a residency in Ob/Gyn. They have also completed a subspecialty-fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) that involves extensive training in treating women with urinary/bowel issues, pelvic organ prolapse (POP) and overactive bladder. We offer advanced diagnostic tests and a variety of minimally invasive techniques that are tailored to your treatment goals and expectations. We cover all aspects of urogynecologic care including vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic techniques.
Pelvic floor disorders can often be embarrassing but the first step is getting help. These conditions can be significantly improved or cured with proper evaluation and treatment. It is important to recognize that pelvic floor disorders can be quite complex and involve many factors. Your physician should complete an in-depth evaluation before beginning treatment. We are dedicated in providing our patients with the highest quality, comprehensive urogynecologic care in an environment that fosters compassion and respect.
