Family Planning and Contraception

We offer our patients comprehensive and compassionate family planning care.  Our subspecialists all have advanced clinical training and have performed much of the research  that has led to approval or improved use of family planning products and services.

Programs and Services

The Family Planning team provides comprehensive family planning care:

  • Complex contraception consultation for women with medical problems or problems using contraception in the past.
  • Contraception Options Counseling
    • Primary Contraception
      • Oral Contraceptive Pills, NuvaRing™, OrthoEvra™ Patch
      • DepoProvera Injections
      • Contraceptive Implant
      • Intrauterine Devices including Paragard™ and Mirena™
    • Emergency Contraception
  • Sterilization procedures
    • Laparoscopic Tubal Ligation or Tubal Removal
    • Hysteroscopic Sterilization/Essure™
  • Management of miscarriage
  • Genetics evlauation/referral
  • Pregnancy options counseling and management of abnormal or unintended pregnancies
