The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California, Davis Health System seeks to recruit a full-time, academic Section Director of Family Planning. The position will be recruited at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series based on experience and qualifications.

Applicants must have five (5) or more years of clinical care experience specializing in family planning with formal research training through a Fellowship, MPH, PhD or similar degree. Applicants must demonstrate publications focusing on family planning appropriate in number for expected level of appointment and have demonstrated program leadership and development.

Chosen candidate will be responsible for general gynecology and family planning, including provision of care at Women’s Health Specialists; oversight of medical students, residents and fellows for issues related to general gynecology and family planning; participation in a family planning research program to include federal, industry and foundation funding. Candidate will be required to provide mentorship as part of a formal residency and fellowship training program in family planning with other responsibilities to include contracted work with the California Family Planning Program.

Applicants must possess an MD from an accredited medical school and have or be eligible to obtain a California Medical License. The candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Applicants must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment, and be able to adhere to policies and procedures. Salary and level of appointment will be based upon experience and qualifications.
