Part-time clinical instructors
The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing seeks part-time clinical Instructors to teach clinical rotations for the Master’s Entry Program in Nursing. Clinical instruction takes place in various hospitals and community agencies in the region that meet the Board of Registered Nursing requirements.
Who is qualified to serve as a clinical instructor?
Clinical instructors must be registered nurses who earned master’s degrees—with either the bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in nursing. The school seeks clinical expertise in all areas: medical-surgical, pediatrics, women’s health (obstetrics), geriatrics, mental health and community health.
At this time, there is a particular need for clinical instructors to teach health assessment and mental health, as well as medical-surgical at Kaiser in South Sacramento.
What is the role of the clinical instructor?
Part-time clinical instructors serve as part of the faculty team and collaborate with didactic teaching faculty to ensure all course objectives are met for each student. Training and development is offered before instruction begins.
