Sarah Mentze Associate Director for Annual Giving and Stewardship Phone: (916) 734-9614, Email: sarah.mentze@ucdmc.ucdavis.edu Sarah Mentze serves as the School of Nursing’s annual giving and stewardship liaison, providing strategic and operational support to further the school’s philanthropic initiatives. Prior to joining the School of Nursing, Mentze was the development and marketing manager at Stanford Youth Solutions where her responsibilities included donor stewardship, grants and foundation management, strategic communications and event management. With a focus on connecting supporters to organizations’ missions and their impact, she led infrastructure development and created operational efficiencies as a membership and event coordinator for the California Alternative Payment Program Association and as a major giving administrator for KVIE Public Television. Mentze attended California State University, Sacramento. |

Kathleen O’Kelly Senior Development Research Analyst Phone: (916) 734-9526, Email: Kathleen.OKelly@ucdmc.ucdavis.edu Kathleen O’Kelly is the senior development research analyst for the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. Prior to joining the team at the School of Nursing, O’Kelly worked for UC Santa Cruz as a prospect manager where she developed a prospect tracking system and prospect portfolios while managing and delivering a prospect pipeline. O’Kelly also served as associate director of development for the Physical and Biological Sciences at UC Santa Cruz. For most of her career, O’Kelly worked in marketing, including building and managing Charles Schwab’s corporate library and delivering market research and analyst relations programs for high-tech companies such as Sybase, Informix and Vitria. O’Kelly earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from UCLA. |

Christine Vargas Associate Development Officer Phone: (916) 734-7216, Email: christine.vargas@ucdmc.ucdavis.edu As an associate development officer, Christine Vargas identifies, cultivates and stewards major donors and broadens the annual giving program for the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. Prior to joining the School of Nursing, Vargas created and implemented stewardship and fundraising activities at the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts. She also worked at UC Davis School of Law in special events and alumni programs. Vargas graduated from UC Davis in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Organizational Sociology. |
