Amber Pasricha Beck is a marketing and communications coordinator at the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis. While providing support in multiple areas, Beck primarily focuses on the school's website, outreach and advertising. Prior to joining the school's team, Beck was associate director of media relations at the California Medical Association. Previously, Beck worked as communications, marketing and government relations senior associate at the American Red Cross, communications consultant at the Assembly Speaker's Office of Member Services, senior account executive at Porter Novelli Sacramento, and marketing and media relations manager at the Downtown Sacramento Partnership. She also worked for California Governor Gray Davis. Beck earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Communications and Political Science and participated in the University of Lyon, France, Education Abroad Program.

As a senior director, Jenny Carrick oversees the communications and marketing program and staff. Carrick’s main focus is to build a strong, cohesive brand for the new school. Carrick works closely with the school’s leadership team to develop strategic plans and key messages to support the school, its leadership and programs.  Prior to joining the School of Nursing in 2008, Carrick served as director of communications, marketing and government relations for the American Red Cross, covering its western region activities, including large-scale disaster responses. Previous to her eight years with the American Red Cross, Carrick worked for 10 years in the news industry as a reporter, editor and news director in  both radio and newspaper, including a three-year stint as editor of the Lincoln News Messenger in Lincoln, Calif. Carrick received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism in 1992 from the University of La Verne, in La Verne, Calif.
