UC Davis Health System is recruiting a Communications Officer to develop a strategic communications plan and a marketing plan (including key message development and target audience identification) that broadens the awareness of the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. The Communications Officer will be responsible for writing, editing, and directing the preparation of published materials pertaining to the launch of the school, with an emphasis on establishing and maintaining a consistent, distinct identity for the vision, mission and definition of the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing. This position will play a lead role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and consistency of these publications.
The incumbent for this position will have an unprecedented opportunity to plan, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive communications program for the launch of an extraordinary school of nursing. Working in conjunction with the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing launch team and administration, the Communication Officer will develop new communications materials, both print and electronic, to enrich the identity of the school. The ideal candidate for this position will have a college/university degree in marketing, communication studies, journalism or a related discipline, as well as experience as a marketing or communication professional with leadership responsibilities working within a complex and dynamic academic environment. In addition, the incumbent will be an accomplished writer with the demonstrated ability to craft compelling, persuasive messages that succeed in achieving a wide variety of objectives for launch of the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing
