The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing Postdoctoral Fellow
The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing at UC Davis seeks a full-time, one-year postdoctoral scholar for an immediate opportunity to collaborate in the development of a research program of patient-centered cancer care, supported by health information technology (HIT) to improve the quality and cost of cancer care.
Current research activities include: 1.) systematic review of the research literature regarding alternative approaches to "bending the cost curve" for cancer care; 2.) secondary analyses of diverse data sources (including administrative data, clinical data and publicly available research data) to identify areas where additional interventions could improve both cost and quality of cancer care; and 3.) intervention research designed to improve care coordination for cancer patients and incorporate HIT.
The scholar collaborates with an interdisciplinary and interprofessional team of faculty and staff from the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing and the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing Postdoctoral Fellow participates in study design and implementation, literature review, data analysis and interpretation, manuscript preparation and grant writing. The postdoctoral scholar is also encouraged to work on their own projects; and supportive, effective mentoring is provided.
