Donors to the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing make a philanthropic investment in improving health and transforming health care. You may opt to support students, faculty, research, a new graduate studies center or the School of Nursing overall. Your gift will help the School of Nursing improve health care and promote health at home, in our communities and around the world.
Donors who wish to be publicly acknowledged will be recognized in the following ways.
Honor Roll of Donors
Donors who make a contribution of $100 or more to the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing will be acknowledged on the UC Davis Health System Honor Roll of Donors in the UC Davis Health System Annual Report.
Founding Donors
Donors who give $1,000 or more during the school’s launch make up the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing Founding Donors, an elite group committed to making a real and lasting difference at the school. Becoming a Founding Donor is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for perpetual recognition as one of the school’s first supporters.
Friends of Medicine and Nursing
Supporters of the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing who make a one-time gift of $25,000 or more, or who make cumulative gifts of $100,000 or more, are inducted into the Friends of Medicine and Nursing and are honored at an annual luncheon.
Heritage Circle
Supporters who place the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing in their estate plans or provide a legacy gift are invited to join the UC Davis Health System Heritage Circle and are honored at an annual luncheon.
Visionaries and Chancellor's Laureates
Supporters at the $1 million level and above are inducted into the UC Davis Health System Visionaries Society and the UC Davis Chancellor’s Laureates’ Society, and recognized at events organized by each society.
Named Endowments
At the following minimum giving levels, donors may create an endowed fund in their name or in honor or memory of a family member, loved one, other significant individual or organization. Endowed funds generate income in perpetuity, providing a stable source of revenue to help the school achieve its vision.
Student Award: $25,000
Provides support to offset costs for one or more students
Research Fund: $25,000
Advances research in an area or specialty chosen by you
Impact Fund for Nursing Scholarship: $50,000
Your named fund is pooled with those of up to 20 other philanthropists, creating a fund of up to $1 million that collectively increases your impact on student support
Impact Fund for Nursing Research: $50,000
Your named fund is pooled with those of up to 20 other philanthropists, creating a fund of up to $1 million that collectively increases your impact on critical nursing research
Scholarship: $100,000
Provides a generous stipend for one or more graduate students
Lectureship/colloquium: $150,000
Supports ongoing lecture series with internationally and nationally acclaimed speakers
Professorship: $1 Million; Chair: $1.5 Million
Endowed chairs and professorships help recruit and retain top-notch faculty
