Cheri Winter, R.N., B.S.N. (CNIII MICU)

As a nurse at UC Davis, I am part of a collaborative research-based environment. We utilize evidence-based research to improve the well being of patients every day. I am proud to be a part of changing lives of our patients and families. I love the fact that we practice family centered care. We are able to get the family involved so they are at the bedside with their family member when necessary. I am proud that UC Davis promotes this type of care.

As a nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit ,I feel that I am a part of a big family that cares about the well being of each other.  I love that whenever I need some support I can always count on one of my co-workers or manager to be there for me.  It is like my second family.

I truly appreciate all the opportunities that I have been given at UC Davis.  I am able to serve on many committees and make a difference in the education of new staff.
