Administrative Nurse CQI and Patient Safety

As an administrative nurse in the CQl and Patient Safety Department I feel a tremendous sense of satisfaction as I work collaboratively with staff in the identification and implementation of interventions that help to promote excellence in clinical care and ensure patient safety. By supporting quality improvement activities for the different departments and committees, I have the opportunity to help take patient care to the "next level"- the highest quality of patient care possible. The CQI department supports and encourages my growth in this area with interesting educational opportunities that expand and enhance my knowledge of health-care quality.

It is a very busy and exciting time to be involved in quality and safety. I am continually impressed by the staff we have here at UC Davis Medical Center and their dedication to provide the best care possible to each and every patient. It is a pleasure to work in such an inspiring and rewarding environment.
