Betty M. Clark, R.N., M.P.A., N.E.A.-BC Director, Hospital & Clinics Patient Care Services Betty Clark is the assistant director for specialty services within patient care services (PCS). Specialty services includes cardiothoracic ICU, burn ICU and burn treatment center, cardiac ICU, medical ICU, trauma ICU, cardiology services, cardiothoracic progressive care unit, respiratory care services, GI endoscopy unit, aphresis/PICC, pulmonary services lab and AIMS services. Clark began her nursing career at UC Davis Medical Center in the surgical ICU as a new graduate in June 1975. Subsequently, she served as assistant nurse manager and manager of the surgical and cardiothoracic ICUs. She was promoted to assistant director of surgical services and patient care services in 1998 after serving as the acting assistant director for five months. In 2002, she assumed responsibility for specialty services. Clark was born and raised in Sacramento. She obtained her BSN from California State University, Sacramento in 1975 and MPA from the University of San Francisco in 1998. She is board certified in Nursing Executive Advanced by the ANCC. Clark is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, Association of California Nurse Leaders, Sigma Theta Tau, Zeta Eta Chapter, Nursing Honor Society, American Nursing Association,and American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a CCRN alumni having earned her CCRN in 1978. Clark is actively involved in the implementation of the electronic medical record serving as the lead for PCS. She led the implementation of UC Davis's patient centered, interdisciplinary documentation system and is working on implementing barcode technology to reduce errors and improve safety. Clark is also the co-chair of the Medical Error Reduction Committee. In her spare time, reading, gardening and family are her passions. betty.clark@ucdmc.ucdavis.edu |

Gail Easter, R.N., M.S.N., N.E.A.-BC Ms. Easter graduated with a bachelor of science in nursing from University of Iowa. She holds a master of science in acute care nursing administration from the University of California, San Francisco. She completed the Wharton Nursing Leaders Program at the University of Pennsylvania as well as the Academy Fellowship Program at the Advisory Board Company in Washington, D. C. |

Judie Boehmer, R.N., M.N., N.E.A.-BC Director, Hospital & Clinics Patient Care Services Ms. Boehmer's responsibilities include: UC Davis Children's Hospital; University birthing suites; women's pavilion; infection prevention and control; and hospital policies and procedures. Since joining UC Davis Medical Center in 1988, she has held various positions including staff nurse, nurse educator and nurse manager. She also has 15 years of home care experience in the Sacramento area. Ms. Boehmer received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Minot State University in 1988, and her master's degree in nursing administration from the University of Phoenix in 1997. In addition, she completed the Wharton Nursing Leaders Program at the Wharton School of Business and the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of the fellowship program at the Advisory Board Company in Washington D.C. Ms. Boehmer is a member of the following organizations: American Nurses Association, and Association of Women's Health Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses. She has presented at national conferences, appeared on Good Day Sacramento, commercials for Wenmat Fitness Center and other health care videos and virtual tours. Ms. Boehmer is active in the community. Toby Marsh, R.N., M.S.A., M.S.N., N.E.A.-BC Director, Hospital & Clinics Patient Care Services Toby Marsh received his bachelor of science in health services from California State University, Fresno in 1997; his master in human resources degree from Central Michigan Universityin 2000; his associate degree in nursing from Pacific Union College in 2004; and his master of science in nursing from Gonzaga University in 2010. Toby attended the Wharton Nursing Leaders Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 2008. He is a member of the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, Nursing Honor Society and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Toby has been a Sacramento area resident since 2003. He accepted the position of assistant chief nursing officer at UC Davis Health System in 2010. Toby has held a variety of nursing positions including: staff nurse, charge nurse in ICU/CCU; hospital nursing supervisor; and nurse manager. He previously served as a captain in the United States Air Force for seven years with significant command responsibilities in personnel, administrative and training programs for more than 3,500 personnel. Mr. Marsh led the initiative to establish an inpatient safety net for patients and families called Code Help as part of UC Davis Health System's commitment to safe, high-quality care. toby.marsh@ucdmc.ucdavis.edu |
