(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) — UC Davis Center for Biophotonics Science and Technology chief education officer Marco Molinaro will speak about the fundamentals of biophotonics, followed by a hands-on demonstration of non-invasive technologies to monitor health and a discussion of cutting-edge biophotonics research at a free public lecture on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the Davis Branch of the Yolo County Library, 314 E. 14th St., Davis.

Biophotonics, which harnesses the power of light to diagnose and treat medical conditions, is one of the most exciting emerging areas in scientific research. Molinaro's lecture topic is “Seeing the 'Invisible' with Biophotonics.”
