MORE DETAILS:

Pediatricians who understand the connections between early literacy, school readiness, school success and lifelong health were the forces behind "Reach Out and Read," a national program that inspires an appreciation for books among young children. Children's Hospital adopted the program as part of its dedication to excellence in patient care and medical education. The program is funded by UC Davis Medical Center staff and private donors.
