WHAT:	U.S. Rep. Doris Matsui will announce a multimillion-dollar federal grant to UC Davis Cancer Center. The grant will fund projects in Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Honolulu and Boston. Details of the grant will be shared with representatives of Sacramento’s diverse Asian community at a morning press conference.

WHEN:	Wednesday, June 1 10 – 10:30 a.m.

WHERE:	UC Davis Cancer Center auditorium 4501 X Street, Sacramento (Parking in lot 4 next to the Cancer Center is free for vehicles displaying press credentials).

VISUALS:	Interviews with Asian American public health experts from UC Davis and the California Department of Health Services, and Asian American community activists. DVD produced by Vietnamese students to encourage colorectal cancer screening among Vietnamese-speaking Americans.
