| WHAT: | Eric Latham, a 23-year-old from Richmond, Va., left Nags Head, N.C., on foot on April 14 for a cross-country walk that has taken him through more than 140 towns and cities in 12 states. His goal: to raise $50,000 for the American Cancer Society. Latham hikes into Sacramento on Wednesday, Oct. 26, to tour UC Davis Cancer Center and meet with patients and researchers before setting off for San Francisco, the last stop on his walk.
