WHAT:

Vietnamese women have the highest rate of cervical cancer of any ethnic group -- five times higher than that of Caucasian women -- and among the lowest rates of screening for cervical and breast cancer. The Vietnamese Cancer Awareness, Resource and Education Society (VN CARES), an organization of Vietnamese medical students at UC Davis, has organized the first annual Vietnamese Women's Health Conference to bring attention to the health needs of Vietnamese women in Sacramento.
