WEIGHT-MANAGEMENT CLASSES FOR TEENS BEGIN SEPT. 11

(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) — UC Davis Medical Center will hold an orientation meeting Sept. 11 at 5 p.m. for its 10-week "Footsteps to Health" weight-management program for teen-agers.

A team that includes a dietitian, social workers, an exercise physiologist, an endocrinology nurse and a physician will work with teen-agers and their parents to develop new skills in managing daily nutritional needs, incorporating exercise and developing healthy attitudes and social behaviors for successful weight management.

The meetings will be held every Wednesday evening through November at 2521 Stockton Blvd., in the seventh floor conference room. Cost for the 10-week course is $150 per family; $75 per family for UC Davis Medical Group patients.
