UC DAVIS HEALTH SYSTEM, SAFE KIDS COALITION CHECK THRIFT SHOPS FOR RECALLED KIDS' ITEMS
"Recall Roundup" aimed at raising store, community awareness
WHAT:
The Greater Sacramento SAFE KIDS Coalition will join UC Davis Children's Hospital and the Consumer Product Safety Commission to clear thrift-shop shelves of recalled children's products tomorrow. Five teams from SAFE KIDS will visit thrift stores looking for baby carriers, cribs, swimming pool dive sticks, television carts and Pokeman balls that have been recalled by their manufacturers. Teresa Brown, child advocate at UC Davis Children's Hospital, says, "Our goal is to prevent child injury by raising community awareness that potentially dangerous children's products should be discarded."
