PUBLIC'S HELP SOUGHT IN IDENTIFYING MAN BROUGHT TO UC DAVIS MEDICAL CENTER MARCH 29
(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) -- The UC Davis Medical Center and the California Highway Patrol are asking for public assistance in identifying a man who was brought into the hospital on March 29.
The man is in his early 20s, between 5'8" and 5'10" with a slender, muscular build. He has black hair and a close-cropped mustache. He is Caucasian or Hispanic with a three-quarter-inch ink tattoo, probably self-made, of the letter "P" on his upper right shoulder.
According to the CHP, he was running across the northbound lanes of Highway 99 south of the Elkhorn Boulevard over-crossing at 10:30 p.m. on March 29 when he was struck by a car. He carried no identification and there was no vehicle nearby that may have belonged to him. His fingerprints were submitted to the state Department of Justice but no match was found.
The man suffered head injuries in the accident and is currently in critical condition.
A photo is available from the California Highway Patrol. If you have information on this man's identity, please contact the UC Davis Medical Center crisis social worker at (916) 734 3696 or via pager at (916) 762-5470.
