MCCLOUD ELECTED TO ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION BOARD
(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) Michael McCloud, assistant clinical professor of internal medicine, was elected to the board of directors of the Alzheimer's Association of Northern California and Northern Nevada. McCloud will serve as liaison between the association's Medical-Scientific Council and the board, helping members interpret technical and medical concepts.
McCloud is board-certified in geriatrics and internal medicine and is director of the UC Davis internal medicine and geriatrics clinics, as well as senior physician of the internal medicine faculty practice. His clinical interests include medical management of patients with Alzheimer's disease and related memory disorders, and implementation of successful aging strategies for older patients.
He lectures nationally on the subject of healthy aging. Recently he developed and moderated a UC Davis Mini-Medical School series of lectures on aging and medical science in Roseville.
McCloud has served on the board of the San Francisco Bay Area Alzheimer's Association and the Medical-Scientific Council of the Alzheimer's Association since 1998.
