HEALTH SYSTEM SEEKS COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEMBERS

(SACRAMENTO, Calif.) -- UC Davis Health System is looking for Sacramento-area residents who are interested in joining its Community Advisory Board.

Composed of 12 to 25 volunteers, the board advises health system leadership on a variety of broad-based community health and long-range planning issues. The board is culturally diverse and consists of representatives from a wide range of neighborhoods in the area.

Board members serve three two-year terms. The board meets six times a year. Board members participating in committees will be asked to meet more frequently to accomplish specific goals and to volunteer at community outreach events.

The application deadline is Monday, February 5, 2001. The board will review applications, interview applicants, and recommend new members, who will begin their term on July 1, 2001.
