Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery

The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, Department of Neurological Surgery is recruiting for a full time Assistant or Associate Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery with a specialization in functional neurosurgery. General neurosurgery also required. Applicants must possess the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment in providing patient care, teaching, and research. Must be able to obtain California medical license. Faculty member's responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Participate in the clinical activities and administrative activities and formulation of policies within the department of Neurological Surgery, the School of Medicine, and the University of California, Davis; Teach 3rd and 4th year medical students and residents in a 6-year residency program; Conduct clinical and or/basic science research in the field of subspecialty, with results of adequate quality for publication in peer-reviewed journals, in particular in cooperation with the staff of the pediatric intensive care unit (pediatric neurotrauma) ;Participate in local, state, and national associations presenting results of research.
