Complex aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations, carotid and vertebral constructive surgery, skull base tumors, hearing preservation in acoustic tumors, medulla oblongata and spinal DREZ lesions, peripheral nerve surgery including brachial plexus surgery, spinal interbody fusion techniques.

Research Interests and/or Investigations
Design, implementation and conduct of clinical trials in severe head injury and subarachnoid hemorrhage. Monitoring of cerebral blood flow, cerebral blood volume and metabolism with various techniques in patients Metabolism and basic mechanisms and pharmacotherapy in experimental brain injury.

Dr. Schrot is experienced in general neurosurgery, with a focus on intrinsic brain tumors and degenerative spinal disorders. He is also skilled in computer-assisted stereotaxy and neuroendoscopy.
