Our Clinical Neurophysiology Laboratory at the UC Davis Medical Center is located on the fifth floor of the main hospital building. EMG facilites are available at the Mather Veterans Affairs hospital.  The clinical neurophysiology lab includes:

  • The accredited Sleep Disorders Laboratory evaluates patients with a modern laboratory and in collaboration with the Departments of Otolaryngology, and Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
  • The Electromyography (EMG) Laboratory tests for nerve and muscle disorders using electromyograms, nerve conduction studies and single muscle fiber testing.
  • The Electroencephalograph (EEG) Laboratory can monitor brain electrical function for hours, overnight or for extended periods of time. Ambulatory EEG monitoring is also available. The laboratory can also perform prolonged recordings from electrodes surgically implanted on the surface of the brain or into certain regions of the brain depth in individuals being evaluated for epilepsy surgery.
