The course integrates core neuroscience principles with clinical neurology, following the American Academy of Neurology core curriculum. Neuroanatomy and neurophysiology are empasized, but the course also includes neuropathology, neuropharmacology and neuroradiology.

Clinical faculty conducts lectures on:

  • Neurological emergencies
  • Stroke
  • Headache
  • Neuromuscular disorders
  • Neuroimmunology
  • Movement disorders

Additional didactic lectures and discussions related to patient management are held throughout the year. These conferences may focus on a patient currently being evaluated or be directed toward a specific disorder of the nervous system. Weekly conferences include neurology grand rounds, neuropathology and brain cutting, and neuroradiology conference.
