Dr. Richard Kravitz is a board-certified internist and geriatrician, and Professor of Medicine, Division of General Medicine at UC Davis, who has been conducting studies in patient-centered care using mixed methodologies for over a decade. He is the Director of the Health Services Research in Primary Care Center of UC Davis, whose mission is to facilitate research on the role of primary care in the health care system and on the interrelationship between health access, delivery, costs and patient outcomes. The goal of this research is to improve the health of the public by contributing new knowledge about the effectiveness and costs of primary health care services and of alternative delivery systems. Dr. Kravitz will be responsible for the Outcomes Evaluation of the D-CFAR and will be a central member of the CFAR planning team.
