The Administrative Core of the NCCFAR is located at UCD Medical Center in the Patient Support Services Building, Suite G500 under the direction of Dr. Richard Pollard and the Division of Infectious Diseases of UC Davis. The Administrative Core is responsible for the entire oversight and evaluation of the NCCFAR.

The administrative core carries out all policy and program decisions, and also is responsible for fiscal management, organization of all activities and meetings, and reports to the NIH. All queries from potential internal and external investigators are made through the Administrative Core. The Administrative Core keeps records of all accomplishments, value-added research, publications, and achievements of the NCCFAR. The Administrative Core organizes the meetings of the policy and decision-making body of the NCCFAR, the Internal Advisory Committee, with input from a carefully selected External Advisory Committee.

The Outcomes Evaluation is carried out under the auspices of the Administrative Core. It is also responsible for outreach to the community, for maintaining a web site, and for disseminating the accomplishments and findings of the NCCFAR to the scientific and lay communities. The Administrative Core is be staffed by a full-time administrator and supports, in part, the Outcomes Evaluation team.
