Dr. Brown practices psychotherapy for children, adolescents and families with an interest in anxiety disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. He also coordinates training and outreach activities for the M.I.N.D. Institute. Dr. Brown's philosophy of care is to empower individuals and families to be more successful in negotiating exigencies that they face. He sees himself as a consultant to the individual and family, helping them to maximize their strengths and improve upon areas in which they are challenged. His research interests involve understanding factors that impact the capacity of families to cope with changes related to child rearing and social emotional adjustment of individuals diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders.
