Child Physical Abuse and Neglect
It is our goal to develop statewide standards in training that promote effective ways to identify, evaluate and treat victims of child physical abuse and neglect. Our program offers a multidisciplinary model of care that is sensitive to the emotional and medical needs of the victim, while providing state-of-the-art evidence collection techniques.
Goals and objectives
- To increase access to qualified medical personnel
- To increase knowledge and skills of health care providers
- To increase knowledge about prevention and intervention
- To increase knowledge and standards of forensic examination protocols of the criminal justice and social work professionals
- To increase knowledge of the interpretation of findings of the criminal justice and social work professionals
