Host Microbe Systems Biology Core

The HMSB Core's services include sample processing for Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), functional analysis of NGS data sets, and gene expression profiling using Affymetrix GeneChips. The NGS analytical services offered utilize state-of-the-art open source software platforms and other customized scripts developed by the HMSB Core co-Director Jonathan Eisen, Ph.D. The HMSB Core is designed to provide campus researchers with easily accessible, customized, and cost-effective resources for integrating analyses of microbial community structure and host-microbe interactions in health and disease.
