Directions and parking information for UC Davis Medical Center

Parking and building entrances at UC Davis Medical Center have changed. The entrance to UC Davis Medical Center is now located on X Street. The hospital’s former main entrance on Stockton Boulevard is closed.

There are a range of parking options:

• Emergency-room patients and their visitors can find short-term parking in the Emergency Department lot, located adjacent to the Michael W. Chapman  Emergency and Trauma Center and accessible from 45th Street. There is a 30-minute limit.
• Short-term visitors can park in Lot 3 and enter the hospital through the new main entrance. Lot 3 is located off X Street, next to the traffic circle in front of the main entrance. It has more than 90 spaces and a 2 1/2-hour limit. Disabled spaces are available.
  
  Limited short-term parking is also available in the Cypress Building lot, off Colonial Way near Parking Structure 1. Disabled spaces are available.
• Patients and visitors needing long-term parking can use Parking Structure 1 and walk though the hospital to reach the main entrance/admissions area. Parking Structure 1 is located off Stockton Boulevard at Colonial Way (roughly across the street from the La Bou restaurant), with entrances off Stockton Boulevard and Colonial Way.

• Brief patient drop-offs and pick-ups are allowed in the driveway at the main hospital entrance. Please be careful and considerate of pedestrians, and do not block traffic or leave your vehicle unattended. Patients who require a wheelchair or other mobility assistance can request it at the front entrance.
• To reach the University Surgery Center, park in Parking Structure 1 and use the doors near the MRI suite. The automatic doors near the surgery center are closed permanently . 

Parking in Lot 3, Parking Structure 1 and the Cypress lot is $2 per hour. Parking Structure 1 (long-term parking) has a maximum charge of $12 per day and no time limit. Extended-stay permits are also available; please notify the attendant.

The parking lot near the former main hospital entrance is closed for construction and will be converted into a new seven-level parking structure with 1,200 spaces, due to be completed in early 2012.
