New medical group office opens in Rancho Cordova
To help serve a growing community and continue improving the patient experience for busy individuals and families, UC Davis Medical Group Rancho Cordova has relocated its primary care clinic from Olson Drive to a brand-new, custom-designed facility at 3201 Data Drive.
The new 18,000-square-foot clinic offers six primary-care providers, including current family practice physicians Lilian Duru, Karna Gocke, Laura Howard and John Luke and internal medicine physicians Wendy Lee and Gerson Stauber. It also features rotating specialists in endocrinology and rheumatology, nutrition services, and onsite laboratory and X-ray services.

UC Davis physicians offer a full array of care for men, women, children and seniors of all ages, including routine preventative services and care for acute and chronic conditions. When needed, they can also help patients access expert specialists at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
The new Rancho Cordova office is located between Zinfandel Drive and White Rock Road, with easy access from the Highway 50 and plentiful parking. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be contacted at 916-851-1440.
“Rancho Cordova has grown substantially in the past few years ,” said Kurt Slapnik, medical director of UC Davis Medical Group. “This new location will help us provide a welcoming environment where we can continue to meet ongoing demand for quality, individualized care.”
Family and community medicine physicians emphasize personalized, comprehensive care for patients of both sexes and all ages, within the context of family and community. For example, training can include adult medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, geriatrics and office orthopaedics, among other areas. Doctors of internal medicine focus on adult medicine and have had special study and training focusing on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases.
Endocrinologists specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions that are caused by or that affect hormones, such as diabetes, thyroid diseases and metabolic disorders. Rheumatologists treat arthritis, osteoporosis and other diseases of the joints, muscles and bones, as well as certain autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus.
