To promote wellness and increase convenience for busy patients and families, UC Davis Health System is expanding its primary care health services in the Natomas area.

Starting Jan. 3, UC Davis family practice physician Tan Nguyen will be available to see new and existing UC Davis patients at UC Davis Medical Group’s new office at 2400 Del Paso Road, near the Arco Arena. Family practice physician Neelam Bhambore will begin seeing patients at the clinic in early March.

The UC Davis physicians will offer a full array of care for men, women, children and seniors of all ages, including routine preventative services and care for acute and chronic conditions. When needed, they can also help patients access expert specialists at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.

The new office is located between Truxel Road and East Commerce Way, with easy access from the freeway and plentiful parking. Appointments will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The phone number is 916-928-3940.

“Natomas has grown quite a bit and there is a real need for quality, individualized primary care close to home there,” said Kurt Slapnik, medical director of UC Davis Medical Group. “By opening a Natomas office, we can offer families and individuals a more convenient way to maintain and improve their health.”

Family and community medicine physicians emphasize personalized, comprehensive care for patients of both sexes and all ages, within the context of family and community. For example, training can include adult medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, geriatrics and office orthopaedics, among other areas.

UC Davis physicians are part of a nationally regarded academic health system that includes a top-ranked hospital, a leading research university and one of America’s best medical schools. Patients can benefit from the collective expertise of doctors and scientists in dozens of academic disciplines, and be among the first to tap the latest prevention techniques, treatment options and technologies as needed.

With the Natomas expansion, UC Davis Medical Group now offers 18 locations in ten area communities, with same-day appointments for acute care, online messaging and access to specialists in 150 areas of advanced medicine.
