UC Davis physicians available through Covered California

Diverse group of citizens

California residents who don't have access to health insurance through their employer or another government program may be eligible to purchase health coverage from the state’s Covered California health benefits exchange.

Covered California is a health-insurance marketplace created through the federal Affordable Care Act. Covered California includes health plans that allow you to choose a UC Davis physician for your primary care.

In Sacramento, Yolo, Placer and El Dorado counties (Covered California’s Region 3), UC Davis primary care physicians and specialty care services are available to you through the following individual and family health plan available for purchase through Covered California:

  • Blue Shield PPO

(*Note: The Anthem HMO and EPO plans that UC Davis Health contracted with in 2017 will no longer be offered by Covered California in 2018 for Region 3).

For more information about the plans, deadlines and the health-benefits exchange, visit Covered California at www.coveredca.com or call 800-300-1506.
