Allan D. Siefkin

Allan D. Siefkin serves as the Chief Medical Officer for UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, which includes an 800-member physician group of more than 150 medical specialties and subspecialties.
In this capacity, Siefkin provides leadership in all areas of clinical service, including facilitating clinical performance improvement, directing patient safety initiatives, identifying and disseminating best practices and assisting in improving the performance of UC Davis’ physician practices.
Siefkin joined UC Davis as a pulmonologist after completing his residency at the medical center in 1979 as chief resident for the Department of Internal Medicine. During his tenure at the medical center, Siefkin has provided leadership in facilities, managed care contracting, operations, strategic planning, patient safety, and clinical delivery.
He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine; the American College of Chest Physicians; the American College of Physicians; the American Medical Association; the American Thoracic Society; and the California Medical Association.
He continues to serve as an attending physician and recently received the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Staff Physician.
Siefkin earned his bachelor of science degree from UC Davis and his medical degree from UC Irvine.
