Faculty

Andreea L. Seritan, M.D., Assistant Dean, Student Wellness, has been at University of California, Davis School of Medicine since 2004. Dr. Seritan's interests include: physician wellness and career development, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and neurocognitive disorders. She combines a genuine interest in the students' health and growth with advanced training as an educator and leadership and advocacy skills. Bren Ahearn

Bren Ahearn is a student support services coordinator in the Office of Medical Education. Bren brings to the committee a variety of experiences, including administrating at four UC campuses (UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UCLA, UCSF), teaching various populations, and recently being a student. Bren hold a B.A. in English and a B.S.Econ. in insurance from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in teaching English to speakers of other languages from the Monterey Institute of International Studies, and an M.F.A. in textiles from San Francisco State University. He practices wellness in his own life by setting aside time to create art.

Lao Thao

Lao Thao is a Student Support Services Coordinator in the Office of Medical Education.  He graduated from the California State University, Chico with a B.S. in Biological Sciences in 1994.  He has been employed by the UC Davis Health System since graduation and has worked in Patient Billing, Patient Services, and the Center for Health and Technology (Telemedicine). Lao has been a member of the OME team since 2004. In this role, he coordinates the residency application and Match process.  Lao enjoys the outdoors and loves hiking and walking.  He commits his family to a round-trip 5-mile walk at least twice a week.
