The dual degree program is administered by the Physician Scientist Training Program office and the M.D./Ph.D Advisory Committee. The primary missions are to select candidates for the program, insure the smooth coordination of both programs and to provide advising for students in the program.

A coordinating advisor is assigned to assist each student in optimizing his or her degree program and progress. The Physician Scientist Training Program advisor is distinct from the mentor under which a Physician Scientist Training Program student will pursue their Ph.D.
