In keeping with its tradition of commitment to medical education, the Department of Internal Medicine has initiated The Golden 1 Fund (The Fund), sparked by the Golden 1 Credit Union and fueled by our collective enthusiasm. The Fund symbolizes and nurtures the outstanding medical education available at UC Davis, whose programs have financial needs far greater than state support alone can provide.

The Golden 1 Fund encourages recruitment of the finest, most talented medical educators. The Fund emphasizes cross-cultural medicine and provides for special education projects ranging from new fellowship programs to community outreach. The Fund will help produce exceptional new doctors who can integrate a variety of skills and knowledge to care for the richly diverse populations of Northern California.
