Admissions
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Sleep Medicine Fellowship, you must have completed an ACGME accredited residency program in anesthesiology, family medicine, internal medicine, neurology, otolaryngology, pediatrics, or psychiatry. Please plan to sit for a board exam in your specialty before or during your Sleep Fellowship training.
For foreign nationals interested in applying, a J-1 visa is required for admission to all UC Davis Health System fellowship training programs.
We do not accept H-1B visas.

Application Process
To apply for the Sleep Medicine Fellowship, all applicants must use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
The application form and all supporting documents must be submitted to ERAS no later than August 31, 2013 to be considered. Supporting documents include:
- Personal statement
- Official medical school transcript
- USMLE/COMLEX transcript
- A Dean's letter (MSPE)
- Two (2) letters of recommendation from physicians who have served in a direct supervisory capacity.
- One (1) letter of recommendation from a division head or department chairman.
- A valid ECFMG certificate (if applicable)
Timeline
The Sleep Medicine Fellowship will follow these dates for the 2013 Match year (2014 - 2015 appointment):

| Interviews: | August 14, 2013, Sept.11, 2013; Oct. 9, 2013 |
| Ranking List Submitted: | October 30, 2013 |
| Match Day: | November 14, 2013 (tentative) |
| First Day of Fellowship: | July 1, 2014 (Required 1/2 day orientation in last week in June) |
