The Chief of the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine is Reginald Low, M.D.
Ezra A. Amsterdam, M.D. is director of the inpatient services, William J. Bommer, M.D. directs the non-invasive ancillary services and the fellowship training program. William R. Lewis, M.D. directs the exercise stress test and echocardiography laboratories, the congestive heart failure clinic and is a member of the transplant faculty. Richard Valente, M.D. is director of the cardiac catheterization and interventional laboratories. C. Tissa Kappagoda, MBBS, Ph.D is director of the cardiac rehabilitation and atherosclerosis regression laboratories. Amparo Villablanca, M.D. directs the women's cardiovascular health clinic. All clinical directors report to Dr. Low.
Terri Bradley is the Division Manager responsible for both the academic office located in Sacramento and the research office located in Davis. She oversees the administrative staff, students and lab personnel. Tim Murphy serves as the Practice Manager linking the hospital to the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Mr. Murphy has responsibility for staff in all cardiology ancillary laboratories, including the cardiology clinics.
Administrative staff in the academic office assist with the cardiology fellowship program, scheduling, CME courses and cardiology medical students. Administrative staff in the research office assist with grant applications, manuscripts, research laboratory personnel, teaching activities and our weekly research seminar.
