Transplant Nephrology Fellowship Program
The Section of Transplant Nephrology at the University of California, Davis is pleased to offer a 1-year transplant nephrology fellowship program accredited by the American Society of Transplantation. Graduates become UNOS-certified transplant nephrologists who are eligible to become medical directors of a kidney transplant program.
The UC Davis Transplant Center, located in Sacramento, California, performs 250 – 350 kidney transplants each year. Fellows will have firsthand experience in every aspect of pre- and post-kidney transplant care, as well as in living donor evaluation. Fellows have dedicated time to rotate with the renal pathologist, the HLA laboratory directors, transplant infectious disease specialists, and other solid organ specialists. The Transplant Center also participates in a varied selection of clinical trials, and fellows have the opportunity to initiate their own projects or take part in ongoing projects.
Application Process
We will accept applications year-round for one fellow, typically beginning each July, though start dates can be negotiated. Applicants should be board certified in internal medicine and board certified or eligible in nephrology. A current CV and two letters of recommendation are required. H1-B Visa is supported, J-1 Visa is not.

Application process
We will accept applications year-round for one PGY level 6 fellow to begin each year on July 1. Applicants should be Board certified in Internal Medicine and Board certified or eligible in Nephrology. A current CV and two letters of recommendation are required.
