Graduate medical education is a priority for the UC Davis Health System. With increasing emphasis on primary providers and managed care, there's hardly a better place to receive a graduate medical education.

Since its inception in 1966, our medical school has maintained a proud tradition of training highly qualified primary care physicians and specialists. The school ranked 17th among the nation's comprehensive public medical schools in primary care training in 1999 and maintains one of the largest primary care residency networks in the United States. And our primary teaching hospital, UC Davis Medical Center, ranks among the best hospitals in the nation and is successfully meeting the demands of managed care.

UC Davis offers many nationally ranked sub-specialties as well. UC Davis Medical Center is the region's only level I trauma center and is a leader in the management of critical care patients and complex medical problems.

Whether you're pursuing a primary specialty or a subspecialty, at UC Davis you'll gain an insider's perspective on the future of medicine and the kind of first-hand experience you'll need to succeed in your own medical practice.

Thank you for your interest in the residency and fellowship programs of UC Davis Health System.
