UC Davis Medical Center Volunteer Ambassador
Volunteer Ambassadors play an important role by greeting our patients and visitors and assisting them with wayfinding in our hospital and clinics. Volunteering as an ambassador is a great opportunity to be a part of the UC Davis Health System community.
Hours and days are flexible, and a UC Davis Medical Center blue jacket, ambassador ribbon, and tie/scarf are provided. For information, please call Volunteer Services at 916-734-2401.
This is an exciting, upbeat place to volunteer in the hospital. Volunteers perform a variety of duties while showing and selling wonderful merchandise to visitors, patients and staff. Volunteers open new merchandise, restock, cashier, and provide ideas for merchandising. All proceeds from sales are donated to the UC Davis Health System for hospital projects and services.
The gift shop provides a convenient source of various merchandise for sale. The gift shop is located in the Tower Lobby of the main hospital. You will find a variety of gifts, greeting cards, candy, magazines, toys, activity games and many other wonderful items!!!
The gift shop is open Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and on weekends from noon to 4 p.m. For more information about the shop, please call 916-734-2403.

The Lifeline Program is an important link for the elderly, disabled and other individuals who are at risk, to be able to stay in their homes. Lifeline is a personal response system which, at the press of a button, provides someone to help 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. There is a monthly fee charged for the service.
