Clinical Placement Site - Training/Externship

The Cardiologist is board certified in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology and has a well established mature practice. Office has accredited echo and nuclear stress laboratories with friendly staff and also offers other non invasive cardiac evaluations.

The PA/NP to assist the Cardiologist with in patient and office patient  evaluations and management. This includes performing H&P's, consults, follow-ups, discharge notes under supervision. Experience with stress testing and other cardiac office procedures preferable but can be learned. One will get to see a wide variety of pathology. REQUIREMENTS:
Registered and certified in CA as a PA. Must be a team player; having strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a wide range of patients. Strong organizational skills are required.New graduates may apply, as physician is willing to train. The MD’s will perform all new patient evaluations and initiate treatments. Once the patient is stable, the PA will continue the treatment plan.

A basic knowledge of the workers' compensation system would be helpful but not required.
