Per Diem Nurse Practitioner
Some practice state-of-the-art intensive telemedicine with a great group of physician intensivists and nurses! Pulmonary Medicine Associates, treating patients in the greater Sacramento area for 35 years, currently has an opening for an organized, detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner to work with us in the eICU (electronic ICU) and/or inpatient setting serving 10 regional hospitals. Must be able to work collaboratively with physicians and nurses and be able to prioritize and multi-task in a close environment. Position is currently per diem with future possibility of extending into a part/full-time position. Hours are 9 PM – 7 AM, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities include remotely monitoring critical care patients, consulting with nurses and physicians, and writing progress notes and orders via the Visicu program to assist with patient management consistent with current best practices. Job training and mentoring will be initiated upon hiring. Sustained employment contingent on successfully securing hospital privileges.
Education: Must have a UPIN or be UPIN eligible which requires a Master’s Degree in Nursing and current National Certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
License:
Current California RNP, DEA license, furnishing license.
Qualification/Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in an intensive care unit in the past 7 years is preferred. Position Description:
The Practitioner effectively identifies, evaluates, and addresses disease prevention and health promotion issues of the Medicare Advantage member while conducting health assessments in the member’s home.
This position will be responsible for visiting Medicare Advantage members in their homes. During these visits the practitioner will do a review of systems, history and physical, limited physical exam as well as any indicated screenings which may include spirometry, bone density, urinalysis and blood draws. This position also requires that the practitioner make recommendations of care to the member. The practitioner will be responsible for delivering or mailing (where applicable)collected specimens to lab drop off locations, complete and accurate documentation of all present and observed diagnoses for each member as well as educating patients and/or families about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and/or medications. While every effort is made to schedule the practitioner within a reasonable distance from their home base, some travel may be required.

Urology
Sutter Medical Group is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join an established Urology practice in Roseville, CA. The opportunity will be a combination of clinical duties, as well as assisting in surgery. Duties many include, but not limited to, screening patients, diagnostics, pre-op, post-op, routine follow-ups, and urgent referrals from the ER, seeing both pediatric and adult patients. Additional duties would include checking lab results and signing-off on prescription refills. Surgical responsibilities may include first assisting using the DaVinci Robot. Job Description

- Our Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistants are expected to review and recommend procedures for our patients. As such they must become familiar with the different procedures our physicians perform and be able to explain it to our patients.
- Our Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistants may be expected to visit our other office locations to consult with patients on occasion.
- This position is considered full-time but part-time applicants will be considered and scheduling can be flexible.
