For the past 18 years I have worked with women and their families here at UC Davis. I chose to work in women's health because I have always been interested in issues that involve women's care. I spent the first part of my nursing career as a labor and delivery nurse. I have found that education and reassurance are essential components of the nursing care process. Encouragement and even a little humor are helpful at times here in our clinic. I feel that a good support system which may include family, friends, and the infertility staff are necessary for the emotional and physical well being of our patients. I consider it a privildge to be a part of the infertility team here at UC Davis.
